On June 27, 2025, the Enugu Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC), represented by its Commissioners and General Counsel, held an engaging and insightful meeting with the former Minister of Power and Mines to discuss his interest in exploring opportunities within the Enugu electricity market.

Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, CON, OON (born December 22, 1969) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, oil magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is the President of Masters Energy Group, a diversified conglomerate with over 15 subsidiaries spanning multiple sectors, including the flagship Masters Energy Oil and Gas Ltd.
Ogah served as Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development following his nomination by former President Muhammadu Buhari. He was officially appointed to the position on August 21, 2019.
In recognition of his contributions to national development and the private sector, Ogah has been honored with two of Nigeria’s highest national honours — Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON)
